Form of payment no longer accepted

Why will Sephora no longer accept my Visa debit card as a form of payment? I encountered this issue a month ago and was told by customer service it was an app issue and to use the website however the website gave me the same error. I’m unable to pay with my Visa debit and PayPal is no longer an option. This issue is preventing me from purchasing from you. Please advise.

I first experienced this problem a few months ago.  The customer rep was useless and acted as if it could only possibly be my problem.  They clearly have a glitch their IT department hasn't been able to fix.  It's unfortunate because it's forcing us to shop elsewhere.  I just purchased perfume for my daughter directly from the company because I couldn't process the order on Sephora.  Disappointing that such a strong reputable company is either ignoring this issue or dragging its feet in fixing it. 

Note - Paypal does work every time for me.

I’m having this same problem all week. Tried multiple cards, resetting phone and app, removing and re-entering all account info, and matching shipping and billing address. Pls help

Did anyone get an answer to this? I’ve gotten the same error message when attempting to place an order. Have tried several cards and tech support said to use the Sephora App and it should work. But it never worked and I still have gotten the same error message.

I just made a purchase on Sephora.com and tried to enter my debit card at checkout as the default card was expired. I kept getting the error "this form of payment is no longer excepted" (not sure if that is the same error, but hopefully this helps as what I am assuming are moderators only seem to want to DM you and not let the rest of us know how to fix this). I tried 3 other credit cards from various banks (visa, MC, discover) all had the same error. It wasn't a processing error, but they were specifically saying they no longer accepted that form of payment. I finally went into my Sephora account and added my debit card as the default payment to my payments and credits section, went back to my basket, and my debit card showed up as the default payment. Entered my CVC and it worked. It has to be a glitch on the checkout page not allowing you to enter a new card on the fly. I hope this helps!

This worked - thank you!  (Add the card as a payment in your account settings rather than trying to add it at checkout).  Thanks for making it known publically instead of all the private DMs by the support team!!
