False advertising - ripped off

I ordered a face moisturizer that was advertised as part of the recent 20% off sale. 

When I saw the email receipt I saw that it was charged full price. I tried calling customer service but it  was closed at the time so I took a picture of the online ad. I checked - there was no code necessary for that sale.

 

When I contacted customer service via the chat the next day they said they would not honour the price because it was only on sale yesterday. I explained that I bought it yesterday during the sale, he said he could not acknowledge any previous sale pricing. I said there were multiple emails sent out and advertising on their site about the moisturizer 20% off sale plus I have photos that I took after I bought it to show what the advertised price was. He just said no, I can't help you.

 

This seems totally wrong, to make people think they are buying something on sale and then after check out charge them full price, if people don't check their receipts they won't realize some items were falsely advertised on sale and then being charged full price.

 

I've never had this happen at any other store, the level of poor customer service on the chat was insane. He barely spoke English and just kept giving me canned answers, "sorry can't help you because it's not currently on sale - anything else"? BRUTAL service.
