E-Gift card balance is wrong!!

I received a gift card a week ago and I entered under purchase methods. I have being surfing the site and adding some products here and there and remove them but I have not completed any order. I’m going to complete one now and to my surprise, the balance on my gift card has gone from $75 to $38!!!! And I don’t show any order completed at any time in the past week! What is going on????
