Double charged again

If I knew Sephora was going to hold an extra $151 of my funds for a few business days, I wouldn’t have even bothered placing this order. Now $300 has been taken out of my account. When I order something online, what I agree to pay is what I expect to have taken out of my account. I’m now in overdraft because of this double charge. This makes me never want to order online from here again.

I'm sorry for the confusion! In reviewing your account, it appears that one of our representatives recently assisted you and advised that the first amount you're seeing is a temporary pending authorization. We do not officially charge for orders until they've been shipped. Please rest assured we have not double charged you for the order. If you have additional questions, please send me a PM.

I understand it is not a double charge, but it is still twice the amount taken out of my account so it may as well be. My point is, half  that amount I did not agree to give to you. That money is now inaccessible to me until my funds are released.

 

The person I talked to on the phone was very helpful and I have no complaints about his customer service. I just think it’s ridiculous Sephora ca hold funds I never authorized for them to have for a number of days with no interest. This is extremely inconvenient when you have bills to pay and food to buy.

 

I also don’t understand how Sephora has the ability to hold my funds, but not release them when I have already clearly made the payment.

 

This sets me back a couple of days now.
