Does Sephora do credit holds now?

Hi I made a purchase 4/21 I got confirmation email & the amount was taken from my bank account. I went back today & I no longer see the charge & my order is still pending to be shipped 5/4/20. Is this some new type of temporary authorization? This is the only card that I have been using for years in store & online issue has never happened before.

For your own security and protection, Sephora.com will pre-authorize the full amount of your purchase plus applicable sales tax and shipping to verify your billing address and credit card information. The pre-authorization will drop off from your account within 1-7 business days depending on your financial institution. Sephora.com will collect payment and post the actual amount of the purchase only when your order is shipped from our warehouse.
