Didn't Get My Points or Samples

I went to a Sephora inside a JCPenny on 8/6/18 & spent $57.64 (still have the receipt) and  Although I told the woman at the register that I had a beauty insider account and even showed her my card so so she can put in the numbers it never went through and I am still at my same point level. This is annoying because I was hoping to have more points after making that purchase. Please fix this.  

Also, is it common for the JCP Sephoras to not give samples?? because this is the second time this has happened to me.
