Delivery Status - Exception

I've placed several orders with Sephora, but it arrived early when this specific order was shipped to my apartment. The delivery driver rang my doorbell once quickly, and I wasn't expecting the shipment so I wasn't by my phone to let them in. Now, my status says "Exception." Does that mean that they're going to try the next business day (today)? 

Or is my package now being held, and I need to go pick it up somewhere?
