Delivery Exception

My package for order was out for delivery yesterday. It now says “Exception. Delivery could not be completed- unable to leave parcel.” What does this mean? I checked my addess, it’s right. I was home all day long, no one came to the door to even try o deliver something. This is my first Sephora order since I usually am loyal to Ulta. Very disappointed to see you use Lasership. I have had many problems with them in the past.
