Debit Card Refund

I returned something in store and I have not receive the money back to my debit card. How long does this take? I returned it thinking I would get my money back quickly I have things to take care of this is very inconvenient. If it takes more than a day this should be mentioned during the turn in process by the cashier.

Hi @Anonymous The refund is processed immediately by us but it typically does take 3-10 business days to post to your account. This depends on your financial institution, so I would recommend contacting them directly for more information.

when I returned, my money went back onto my card that day. But like others said it could depend on ur bank account 😞

It depends on your bank. Could take 5-7 business days.

pretty sure it doesn't go back right away. cashiers usually tell you, and I agree that they should have, but you also could have asked if this was a very important thing for you to know due to your situation. either way, would you have still returned it?

That’s not the point. If something is going to take longer than expected it should be mentioned. It doesn’t take days to take from the account therefore  it shouldn’t take days to return.

100% agree with you.  If it’s debited instantly, then it should be credited instantly as well.  Someone posting about this exact issue mentioned class action, and I’m not sure she’s wrong in her line of thinking.  Funds taken at point of sale, but at same point of sale, 7-10 days to return?  That’s not right.
