Damaged Items from Rouge Sale

Two of the eyeshadow palettes I ordered during the Rouge sale came broken: a Pat McGrath one had packaging that fell apart, and a Tarte palette had a few shadows that shattered everywhere. I was out of town for a few days and by the time I got to open the package the Rouge sale is already over, so I can't just return them and reorder for the same price. What should I do?

P.S. I ordered quite a few items, and some of the hair products were really heavy, but everything came packed within a regular-sized box and there was definitely not enough bubble wrap to protect the more fragile items.
