Customer service downgrade

Is rot just me or has customer service gone downhill? My significantly large order came looking like someone had dropped it in water and then kicked it across my patio to my front door. A setting spray and broken inside and the contents soaked all the boxes inside- so there was no way I could gift these items and there was no way I was driving to 3 different sephoras to exchange them. My Rouge makeover gifts were valid just before Covid hit and then expired at the beginning of this year but “oh well too bad” was the response I got to losing 4 makeovers. I understand being understaffed but don’t understand the indifference to satisfying customers.

Sephora reached out and resolved the issue for me in a very helpful and satisfactory way. I appreciated it over the customer service I received on the phone. Thank you
