Credit Card Rewards Return

Hi. If I use my Sephora Rewards Dollars earned from my Sephora Visa to make a purchase, and then return that purchase, do my rewards dollars become lost or are they returned to my credit card?

I purchased $40 worth of items with $40 in rewards points and a week later returned those items. The Sephora location told me they'd automatically go back to my account within 1-2 billing cycles, but here it is now almost 5 months later and I've yet to see them. I contacted Comenity Sephora Visa and they said I need to contact the merchant directly, but Sephora told me it's Comenity that has to return my points. Really frustrating. I'd love to know what your outcome was if you returned something.

following, the same issue has happened to me. I spoke with Comenity rewards customer representative and he said that once you use it, even though the order was returned they will not refund your Rewards back. How frustrating and disappointing. I have never heard of anything before that they cannot refund my sephora visa rewards.

They have not returned mine to my account either. Am trying to reach them to see what I can do...good luck!

Oh no! As mentioned above, if merchandise purchased with a Credit Card Reward is returned, the Reward Dollars associated with that return should automatically be added back to your Reward Dollars balance. Comenity should be able to look into this for you once they are up and running again. I recommend reaching out to them via phone at a later time, as they recently had a system outage, for further assistance. Please try requesting to speak with a supervisor regarding this issue. It has now been three months and I still have not had my rewards dollars returned. I call Comenity and they transfer me around from place to place. I am getting very frustrated and thinking about canceling my credit card at this point. Any last ditch ideas for how to receive my lost rewards dollars?
