Complaint about Store

Yesterday (Aug 14th) I went to the Woodbridge, NJ Sephora inside JcPenny. Had a great experience with the associate there who suggested some great products for me to use as it is my first time wearing makeup. I spent $310! Later that night when I went to take the moisturizer to use for the night I realized the Flyliner Eyeliner I had purchased was not in the bag. 

 

I called the store this morning (Aug 15th) to let them know about the missing product. They “checked” the camera and stated that they put the eyeliner in my bag. Maybe it fell out (even though none of the samples I got last minute fell out from the top of the bag and the eyeliner would’ve been on the bottom under the tissue paper). There is nothing they can do. I have checked my entire house and car and there’s no eyeliner there. Basically I was told I’m “out of luck” because they supposedly put it in the bag. I feel like they just didn’t want to be bothered with this issue and quite frankily as a first time make up shopper this experience has left me with a negative mindset with sephora and makes me not to want to shop there again.
