Compensatory products not received

I had a product erroneously missing from an order, and when I spoke with customer service, they agreed to send me the product in question, in addition to several sample products to make up for the trouble.

Now, when I have not received samples I ordered in the past I have not complained because I know this is a busy shopping season. However, in this case products were promised to me as compensation for poor customer service (i.e. missing products in a shipment and having to spend time rectifying that), and that promise was not kept. This is one customer service error after another. What happened to my sample products?
