Charity Reward - 500 Pts Won't Process

Earlier today I was very excited to see that Sephora is offering the option to distribute Charity Rewards to the Tides Foundation to benefit the National Black Justice Coalition.  When I went to process my 500 point reward, the system would not allow me to "check out" with this reward without purchase.  I then spoke to two Customer Service representatives.  The first told me I must make a purchase to use the reward.  The second was able to process my request but explained that for any 500 point reward the "check out" function would not operate properly.  I am concerned that many VIB members will try to use their points for good, and will be deterred when the order wont go through. 

 

How can this be fixed quickly to ensure that VIB members can use their loyalty to support others?  As of now, the process indicates that a purchase must be made, which should NOT be the case. No show of support against racial inequity should come with a perception of purchase. 

 

I am looking forward to Sephora's quick address of this issue.
