Card Charged Twice for Same Order

Hello all:

 

I made two orders on December 12th using PayPal (linked to my debit card) for a fast transaction. One order was the standard online option, and the other was an in-store pickup (as the item was OOS online). The in-store pickup order went smoothly, so no issues there.

 

The order I made online was put into separate shipments, the majority of the items (1st shipment) got shipped later that evening (Dec. 12th). The sole item not apart of that shipment (2nd shipment) got shipped yesterday morning (Dec. 13th). I noticed no issues until this morning when I checked my bank account.

 

The first shipment, total of $58.01, and the second shipment, total of $38.97, were charged twice to my bank account, dated Dec. 13th. I believe this happened AFTER the sole item shipped as the charge for the first shipment was made on Dec. 12th.

 

No, they are not pending charges waiting for authorization, and the numbers are identical to what's ordered. The overall total of $96.98 is out of my account, gone. Sephora only shows ONE order was made, and PayPal also only shows each transaction ONCE. Meaning, this must be an issue on Sephora's end.

 

This didn't happen the first time I made an order in May, and by looking it up, apparently this is a somewhat common issue. I hope it fixes itself when the items arrive, but I doubt that'll be the case considering there are no pending transactions. So, any help in regards to getting my money back would be appreciated.

Bank took money, bot order didn't proceed. Now it asks to pay again. Money is taken, order not confirmed. What to do?
