Cancelled orders

Why was my order canceled on Sephora?  I was never emailed about it or contacted. Had I not logged in and checked the status of my order I wouldn’t have known.  This happened over the holiday season as well. When I called they made a comment about my shipping address but every other package I’ve ever had has been sent to the same address and it matches the exact address on my billing. I’m not quite sure why the orders keep getting canceled.  Honestly I’ve stopped ordering from Sephora and I order directly from the manufacturers or Ulta.  It’s kind of a hassle but it’s better than being charged for a product I didn’t get.
