Cancelled order using a giftcard

So I recently just ordered and cancelled an order that I placed, and I understand that I will get refunded my money and it will go back on my credit card. However, I used a gift card I recently received to pay for half of it. Does anyone know if my money will return back on the gift card, and if so when will that might be?
