Cancel the order

Hello I had a gift card for $300 I  had a store  associate   order me the Dyson Panasonic blow dryer because they did not have it in store and I gift card was only in store use only and I paid The rest out of my pocket the sales lady  through away my gift card never gave it back to me  That’s fine  it was useless anyways so three days later I check my order when is it coming and it says canceled   They can’t seem to authorize it?   And I called Sephora and they’re updating their system and they cannot look into any orders right now  So I do not know what to think or what I  so I do not know what to think or what to do because if my order did not go through I have a $300 gift card in the trash somewhere that the sales lady threw away  ?? What now and why did this happen
