Canada post strike

Very disappointed in Sephora at the moment. I ordered the week before the Canada post strike and even called customer service to confirm they would not use Canada post BEFORE ordering. I was assured they use other couriers and placed my order. It was sent Canada post anyway and obviously my order is stuck and not moving. I requested it to be sent to a store or shipped via another courier but was told that “live in too remote of a location for that to happen” I can’t understand how the store closest to me (approx 30 mins away) is in “too remote of a location” to receive stock I’m sure their shelves aren’t going empty. Every other large chain is willing to work with their customers and providing alternative shipping. All customer service can say are they are sorry I feel this way. I’m both frustrated and disappointed in a company who previously provided top notch customer service.

Re: Canada post strike

@LeanneB123 We understand your concern and apologize for any misinformation you were provided. While we've expanded our network to include additional courier services, we want to ensure that every Canadian can access the Sephora products they love. In many areas, Canada Post remains the best–and sometimes the only–option for shipping. We recommend keeping an eye on your tracking info for the latest updates. Thank you for your patience during this time.

Re: Canada post strike

But this is not correct. I put through an order o November 19th (5 days after the strike) and it's still been sent via Canada Post - although obviously it is still just sitting in your distribution centre as Canada post is not currently operating.

My area is serviced by all the other known carriers, and every other company I've ordered through has managed to send me my purchases using these other carriers, it's just Sephora has chosen not too.

Sephora shouldn't be accepting new orders if they are knowingly not going to fulfill them. At the very least, they should be refunding me my order as it hasn't even left the distribution centre, but apparently they seem unable to do that either.

Re: Canada post strike

Same for me. I put an order in on Nov 22 - no mention of what carrier it would ship with and every other store I've placed an order with has said they couldn't or wouldn't deliver due to their carrier being Canada Post in before I hit pay.

Nov 23 I received a shipping notification with a Canada Post tracking number. Had I known that it would ship with Canada Post anyways- I would have opted to pick up on store. I have received deliveries safely from every carrier (FedEx, Purolator, Intelcom, UPS, DHL, etc) in my area since the day we built 4 years ago, there is literally no excuse for still shipping with Canada Post knowing they were on strike, especially given there are was ample warning. Really, really unimpressed.

Re: Canada post strike

Same exact situation here and customer service blatently just disconnects chat when you ask for a cancellation
