Can I return an in store Sephora purchase to a JCP Sephora?

I had read some posts on the community board that you can return free standing purchases to a jcp Sephora . I purchased an item at a free standing Sephora and I tried to return it to a JCP Sephora and the store said their system can’t read Sephora reciepts and when I called Sephora’s  customer service phone number I was on hold for 10 minutes while someone looked up the return policy and they never came back so I’m just looking for clarification on the actual return policy . Thank you

You should be able to return free standing store purchases at Sephora inside JCP. 

You’re able to return or exchange new or gently used items within 60 days of the original purchase date along with a receipt. Ultimately, all store returns are at our store's discretion. If you need further assistance, please feel free to private message me. Thank you. 🙂
