Can I exchange for a different shade of foundation that i bought in sale during Black Friday?

The shade of foundation that I bought during black Friday sale is the wrong color for me.  I like to exchange for a lighter shade.  I tried to exchange at the store that had the actual color that suited me but they requested that I pay the price difference for the exact same product. I feel that is unfair because that policy was not clearly stated during purchase.  I read online it's also depends on which store you go to or which sales personel you get because the response was not consistent.  I am disappointed by this type of sale service. Please help.

I'm sorry about this! Generally the promotional price of items would only be valid within the promotion dates, and I apologize for any disappointment this may cause.
