Can I cancel a pending order?

I placed my order on the 9th and it still shows pending. Not to mention some of the products I bought are now sold out!!!! I'm wondering if it would be quicker to cancel my order and just go to Nordstrom's or Macy's? I really would like to know when orders will start to ship I need my makeup for the holiday parties coming up.
