Bye Bye Points - Losing Value Everyday 2020

It was explained to me that with the new roll-out for rewards, all existing points will be wiped come January 1st, 2020. I understand and get that it's time to cash out and get something nice for myself - like many others, I've been saving my points for years.

I set my alarm, go to the Rewards Bazaar at 0900 PST and instead, have the option to combine 1500 points = $50 and 1000 points = $25. What happened to the 2500 points = $100?

 

So now it's 2500 points = $75. Why do we no longer have the option for 2500 points = $100? Because we got played.

 

What am I missing? I've been a loyal customer for years. Can you at least offer/stock some nicer items for the point collectors like myself who are getting screwed by this new system the most? What's the plan here? Thanks for the assistance/advice.
