Bum Bum Cream won’t open

Hi! I just received my Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream in the mail. I have tried everything from over mitts to towels and it simply won’t open. (Don’t worry, I took the plastic coating off.) why won’t it open? Am I doing something wrong?

Glad it’s not just me. I can’t open the minis to save my life. I’ll try the blow dryer trick tomorrow.

Same did anyone figure out a solution I have done everything including heating and using a knife but it just won’t budge

You probably got your bum bum cream opened by now, but just going to leave my method here anyways for future references.

There is a thin sheet of styrofoam that is glued/taped to the top of the lid. When you try to open it, it doesn't budge at all because of that styrofoam. What I did was I used my blow dryer to melt the adhesive inside and it completely worked. I set the blow dryer to high and used it on the lid about 15 to 20 seconds.

It worked! Took a few tries and a bunch of patience but heating the lid and digging along the sides with a butter knife did the trick.

Leaving this here just in case anyone comes across it from Google like I did!!

MAN that was tough. I used a butterknife and ran it around the lid / jar space, I pushed it down as far as it would go and angled it outwards. Took a few times but now my jar is open.

Was it stressful and a giant pain in the rear as well as a sign of horrible packaging? Yes. Was it worth it? Also yes. I may be sweaty but I smell like a sun goddess now.

Ok never mind, I just got it! Wtf. That was the most challenging thing I’ve ever opened. I ended up taking a butter knife between the jar and lid and wiggled it to stretch the lid a little bit. It opened easily after that. I’m worn out though lol.
