Birthday gift/points not redeemable

Hello, 

My birthday is in December, and Sephora ran out of birthday gifts in a few of the locations, so I went to just go add the points to my account. It did not let me add the 250 points, and I finally realized why. Last year (2022) on my birthday I had the same issue (the store running out of birthday gifts), so the employee told me to come in January and just redeem the gift late. But when I did this, it appears as though it used up my birthday gift for 2023. Is there anyway I can get a gift for my 2023 birthday considering I technically used my 2022 birthday gift in Janurary 2023, not realizing it would count as my 2023 gift.
