Birthday Gift

I have tried to redeem my birthday gift I picked an item out and added it to my cart when I tried to checkout it said “Merchandise, excluding gift cards and eGift certificates, must be included in your order to qualify for your Birthday gift.” 

I do not know what this means or what I should do instead

You need to buy an item that costs 25$ and up to get your gift unless you do it in store
