Do points expire?

We encourage you to redeem your points often, so that you get to experience the full benefits of the Beauty Insider program including product, gifts, experiences and events. All unredeemed points expire when you have not engaged in point activity associated with your Beauty Bank (through purchase or redemption for Rewards or Birthday Gift) for 18 months or more. If you have questions regarding the date of your last point activity or your last purchase, you may email customerservice@sephora.com or call 1-877-SEPHORA (1-877-737-4672) for more information. In addition, points will automatically expire if your Membership is revoked or otherwise cancelled.

More Rewards

Full Size

How can I use my points to redeem full-size products?

Full-size products from our favorite brands are now available in the Rewards Bazaar. VIB and Rouge will have access to redeem their points for these products while supplies last.

Rouge Reward:

What is a Rouge Reward and who can use one?

A Rouge Reward is a non-transferable $100 reward available to Rouge members in exchange for redemption of 2,500 Beauty Insider points, while supplies last on a first-come-first-served basis. A $100 Rouge Reward then can be used online or in store for the purchase of merchandise only. Merchandise does not include e-gift cards, gift cards, a FLASH Shipping subscription, a Play! Subscription, taxes or shipping.  Employees of Sephora, Sephora inside JCPenney, and JCPenney are not eligible to redeem points for Rouge Rewards. Rouge Rewards expire 90 calendar days after the email confirmation date (details below).

How do I redeem a Rouge Reward?

The $100 Rouge Reward will be available in the Rewards Bazaar every Tuesday and Thursday in limited quantities while supplies last. Rewards go live at 9am Pacific Time. Rouge Reward may sell out but more will become available each Tuesday and Thursday at 9am Pacific Time.

Where and how can I use my Rouge Reward?

The Rouge Reward can be redeemed online and at Sephora stores in the US and Canada for the purchase of merchandise only and can only be redeemed in the country where the Rouge Reward was purchased. A Rouge Reward cannot be used in Puerto Rico stores, at Sephora inside JCPenney stores or at jcpenney.com.

Can I use my Rouge Reward in multiple transactions?

The Rouge Reward can only be redeemed once. The full $100 amount must be used in a single transaction; any remaining value will not be reimbursed.

How quickly will I receive and be able to use my Rouge Reward after I redeem points for it?

After you redeem points for a Rouge Reward in the Rewards Bazaar, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours that will provide a link to generate a code and instructions on how to use the code to purchase merchandise. The code, once received via the link, is immediately available for use. The code can be viewed multiple times from the same confirmation email, but the code will expire after 90 days from the date of the email.

Can I use my Rouge Reward in conjunction with promotional discounts or codes?

A Rouge Reward cannot be used in conjunction with any promotional discounts or codes.

Can my Rouge Reward Expire?

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

I contacted client services and they clearly stated that Rouge members will no longer receive complimentary makeovers. I was told that we now have to spend $50 in order to receive the makeover, like everyone else.

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

Hi @Camille319,

All Rouge clients receive free Makeup Deluxe: The Full-Face Makeover with no minimum purchase for the remainder of 2018. For further assistance with booking your makeover or if you have questions about any in store services I suggest that you reach out to your local store to receive more information. I hope that this helps.

Best,

Zakiya

RE: Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

I’ve been told at stores and when I call they are eliminating it in the US too. If that happens then I will be out as a customer. Ulta has started to become the better place.

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

Assuming I purchased a $10 product and earned 10 points before 8/15, but I do not like it and plan to return it after 8/15. How many points will be paid back to the returned product? 10 or 15 points?

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

Hi @MiaaiMia,

It would be the same as it currently is on returns. The amount of points rewarded would be deducted if you return the item. Feel free to PM me if you need additional assistance with something. Thanks!

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

What time of day should I expect to earn 1.5 points on any purchases? Would it be midnight tonight in my time zone (EST)? 9am PST? I know not all of these changes are taking effect on the 15th, just concerned about the points earned currently!

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

I just placed an order this morning and received 1.5 the points. Had no idea about the changes or that they started today

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

@misscg,

Oh, that's awesome you received your 1.5 points with your online order today! Feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions about the relaunch. 😉

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

Hi @AmbyH

The timing isn't changing. Just the amount of points per dollar spent. 😉

RE: Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

Hi sorry that wasn’t my question. I just want to know if I make a purchase at midnight tonight (Aug 15 EST) if I will receive 1.5 points for each dollar or if the change occurs later in the day and I should wait until then to make a purchase. Thanks!

Re: RE: Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

Sorry for the confusion! You will now receive 1.5 points per dollar spent. Hope that helps!

Best Wishes,

Rebecca

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

So basically we STILL have to hover over our computer each Tuesday and Thursday to fight 5000 other people drooling over the same reward certificates? Either go all the way and let people redeem certificates at their convenience or not do it at all. I feel like every time we're told they're working to better the program it turns out to be another disappointment, but I will sit back and see how well this NEW program works out.  I think rouge members should be able to earn 2 pts per $1 spent.  Just saying... So far rouge members get the same thing everybody else gets except twice a year you get $25 to spend on $50 or more... That's hardly a reward for spending $1000+

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

I came to this thread to figure out how to redeem my $100 certificate. I didn't know it was a limited supply. Who knows how long it will take before I can redeem this? Could not agree more.

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

Hi @Danixcalifornia,

The $100 Rouge Reward is available in limited quantities every Tuesday and Thursday in the Rewards Bazaar.

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

The 100.00 "reward" is structured in such a way as to be a punishment.  You have to line up and hope you pitched your tent early enough to grab the chance at the "reward" you already earned through investing hard spent dollars on makeup and skin care.  Then, once it's your basket you had best hit the right button or they will steal it away.  Never mind that it says you have 90 days to use it. They take it out of your basket if you do not immediately "redeem." it.  No where does it say that you have to hit spend NOW. So, now I have to pitch another tent on Tuesday, leave the duties of my job to hope for the change to get a golden ticket and if so, wait around for an email code.  At the end of all of this, I have to hope that there is actually an item in stock that I want to redeem.  Ludicrous.  Why, Sephora, do you make your valued customers compete for a reward they earned?  There is no integrity or honor in your current system.

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

Yeah recently I have switched over to making all possible purchases at Ulta because the reward for spending as much money as I do in cosmetics is so much greater then Sephoras. I've been a rouge member for the last 2 years and dont think I will be getting there next year. Ulta does so many more 20% off sales and you dont have to spend $1,000 to get 20%.The sephora $100 reward is a nice gesture, but they launch it at 9am and an average job/school is during that time, mine included! I cant be hovering by my computer at work and by the time I'm able to check it out its gone. You only have to spend like $500 at sephora to reach the top tier and your points wont expire, and when you hit the 2000 points you can redeem them for $125 whenever you want! No catches or time frames! Rewards aside, i do usually prefer to shop at sephora, but i spend a lot of money on makeup and am able to get better deals and rewards at Ulta so I have been and will be continuing to purchase whatever I can from ulta and only purchase items that just sephora carrys when I have to. Hopefully Sephora works on this a little bit more!

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

Couldn't agree more! It's ridiculous that we have to battle to pretty much to win the $100 reward! I wish we could just redeem the 2500 points at our convenience, and also that we didn't have restrictions on it, like not being able to use a coupon with it, etc.. I spend so much money over $1000 a year, and this is still not a reward that's worth my while. I still believe ULTA has the best rewards program, they offer their different tier levels different points depending on your level, VERY often they offer 3x, 5x, or even 10x the points on purchases. You can redeem your points at your convenience, and the higher the points the more money you get! 2000 points is $125 dollars on ANYTHING and without any RESTRICTIONS, you can combine it with coupons and offers. I really hope Sephora can step up their game better than this, yes its an improvement but not a great one. I am not happy with the fact that I have to battle to redeem my points for the $100 reward.

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

Agreed. Also the rewards expire after 90 days I think it’s already going to be a hassle to get them if they are going to be limited. This whole thing is ridiculous. So far this whole upgrade its a disappointing so far Ulta to me has a better program. What’s up with all the restrictions this is so bogus.

Re: Beauty Insider Program Updates FAQS

Hi @yummodimsum

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! Although the Rouge Reward are limited and may sell out, more will become available each Tuesday and Thursday at 9am Pacific Time. Additionally, this is only the beginning for the new Beauty Insider, stay tuned for more updates!

Always,

Danee
