Beauty Insider Points Expired – Question

I wanted to share a recent experience and see if others have encountered something similar.

I recently noticed that 11,960 Beauty Insider points on my account had expired due to inactivity. I wasn’t aware the points were nearing expiration, as I did not receive any email or notification before they were removed and only discovered this after checking my account.

During this time, I had moved to a different country. I later learned that Sephora operates separate Beauty Insider programs by country, and points activity does not carry over between regions. Because of the move, I wasn’t actively using my original account and didn’t realize my points were still subject to expiration under the previous country’s program.

I understand and respect the policy regarding point expiration. I mainly wanted to share this as a reminder, especially for those who relocate internationally, to keep an eye on their points activity.

I’m also curious if anyone has had success with a one-time courtesy reinstatement of expired points or received reminders before expiration. I’d appreciate hearing your experience.

Purchases or redemptions made outside the US or Canada will not apply to your BI account activity. It looks like your private messages are turned off, and you can adjust your preferences in your Community settings (on the browser only, not the app).
