Bad experience

Yesterday I entered at the Sephora’s water tower 845 N Michigan Ave. Chicago , IL 60611 with my family (husband, daughter and son). We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday at the American girl store. After the celebration I told my husband that I wanted to go to Sephora to buy some face creams. We entered at the store and walk directly where Tatcha products are. An employee came back and ask me about if I need help. I said yes, he was very nice on helping me. He showed my some products to try on, but My daughter was so in a rush to open all the things we bought her in the American girl store ; she said to me: “this is taking forever” . I told my husband: “ if you want wait for me outside”. So they went out and sit down in a bench. The moment my family left the store a white guy started opening drawers and looking to their inventory. That was so rude what he did in front of me. I’m tired of that. Just because I look different doesn’t mean I don’t have morals and principles. At that moment I wanted to make a show in from of everyone and take everything out from the huge American girl bag to show him that my family and I don’t need to steal anything. Thank God my husband and I have jobs and we can afford to buy things without stealing. I educated that man, I made him aware that just because we aren’t white that doesn’t mean we are thieves... I’m tired of the stereotypes
