Bad experience at Sephora Sherbrooke

Today, Sunday 28 July around 15h30pm, I went to Sephora at the Carrefour in Sherbrooke to buy a product for my face. I was waiting in line with my daughter and we were next in line when two women came and were standing right beside me to bypass the line. I told them that I was next in line and these women seemed to ignore me.

A customer service representative, Nicholas opened a new register and called the customers next to me under the pretext that he had helped them in the store and already had their products, regardless if this was true, I was next in line. The women were rude as they went to get served.

Meanwhile, the other cashier closed her register and referred the rest of the customers to the other line and asked me to get at the end of the line. When I  told her I was next in line and she just didn't acknowledge my concern. Feeling disrespected, I abandoned the product that I specifically went to Sephora to purchase. Just on the surface level this was terrible customer service, but I couldn’t notice that I was also the only immigrant person in the store and it makes me wonder why everyone else there was getting service while I felt ignored. I hope Sephora takes action on the matter. The people you have hired need to be better trained. It was a terrible experience and felt like the subtle racism I occasionally experience in Quebec unfortunately and sadly what my daughter got to witness.

It has been very disappointing to see that no one contacted me from the local store, and no action was taken by Sephora.
