Apple wallet balance

Hello,

 

My apple wallet says I have $19 on a gift card I added, and I have to set to update automatically. When I go to use the gift card it says I have $0. Is this accurate?? I don’t want to delete the gift card from my apple wallet until I’m sure that there’s nothing left on the gift card. I’d also like a way to check past purchases and see if I did spend the gift card balance total. Thank you!
