I have a drybar set I received as a gift. I would like to return it for a gift card not store credit, and I do have the receipt. I do not want it to go back to orig payment because its my boyfriends cc and he wont be there, so how can I spend it? 😜 Is this a possibility?

Thank you ladies for your responses. One more quick question, Can Sales Associates use said store credit in store to place an online order for us? There has to be a work around this. I mean I am giving them ALL the monies back, what’s the difference?

It has the same sku set up as a gift card, why not just call your local store and ask?

I've heard different answers on whether you can use the store credit to purchase gift cards, but if they let you it will be two separate transactions (refund, then gc purchase).

If you're returning something and don't have the original transaction card with you, they'll issue you store credit on a special card (non-transferable, different from a gift card). You can only use them in-store, not online or at JCP... but you could use it right then if you wanted to.
