Amazon email delivery gift card?

So I got a gift card from sephora from a family member as a late birthday gift. I went to go purchase something on the site today, put in the card number and pin and got an error saying the gift card was invalid even though I copied it directly from the email. What do I do now?

I received a Sephora gift card from Amazon in my email. When I tried to place an order online it said the card number was invalid, even though all the information I put in was correct. HELP
