@Kim888 Thank you for responding so kindly. 🥰🥰 I'm pretty selective with the 'gurus' that I follow so I haven't even thought about this particular one in years, since everyone started trying to look like a Kardashian. 

I could see from a distance that she'd end up being problematic. I didn't know that sephora chose to do a partnership with her. I guess that's what @eyetech was referring to.

@Nickelliebear1 Sephora recently sponsored her and received extreme backlash because she has made racists comments in the past to other gurus, is a covid denier, and made numerous  comments supporting the insurrection at the capital (if you search her name in beautyguruchatter on Reddit a bunch of old tweets have been posted) .

Upon the backlash Sephora has terminated the relationship with her. Now, conservatives are claiming this is an “assault on republicans” and a violation of free speech. For anyone confused, private companies do not owe you free speech under the constitution and I would guess Sephora does have some kind of reputation clause in their contracts though of course I don’t know that.

This says alot about a population that is unwilling to respect diversity of thought and opinions. Trying to censor an opinion doesn't make the opinion go away. It only makes the person censored feel justified in their beliefs and opinions and cling to them more fiercely. It's disgusting that no one can even question something without being assigned baseless labels like "covid denier, anti-vaxxer, socialist, fascist, racist or white supremacist." These labels undermine healthy, civil conversation and the exchange of ideas and compromises. This cancel culture is dangerous to intellectual growth and breeds intolerance of new ideas and different opinions and beliefs. Opinions are not right or wrong. They are opinions. Almost everyone believes racisim is wrong and that Covid-19 is cause for concern. Denial that racism is a major problem in the U.S. does not make one racist. Just like disagreeing with government shutdowns or that most Americans are not in danger from covid does not make one a covid denier. Instead of refusing to listen to someone's opinion we need to be open to civil discussion and understand eachother, then maybe we can solve problems instead of creating them.

So tired of anyone claiming someone else said something racist as a legitimate reason to cancel them.  Amanda's conservative views or religious beliefs have NOTHING to do with her career and should not be a reason to cancel her contracts.  IF she did or said something inappropriate, then PROVE it.  If it was something you just disagree with, then get over it.  That's what equal treatment for all is about. I do not care about your politics, your religion, your race, your gender, your age, etc.  All I care about is that you do your job well, I get the products/services as promised and that you treat others with courtesy and respect.  Sephora, you lost my business as you obviously cannot do this. #cancelculturenotAmerican

I am so confused by this. First of all, no matter where I click, I can't see replies to comments except this one. Is this part of the cancel-thing? Next, Amanda Ensing wear's too much makeup, but she's Latina (Puerto Rican American) and entitled to her opinions. I have not seen one single instance of her saying anything racist. Everyone is saying she's racist, but when and where?? I've honestly looked, I don't see it.
