Afterpay refund order cancellation

Hello!

 

 

 

Reaching out hoping someone can help me.

 

I cancelled 2 orders to change my payment method. One I received a refund right away from afterpay, but the other afterpay states Sephora has not notified them that it was cancelled. 

 

Sephora customer service verified the ordered was canceled but states they have no way to let afterpay know as this is done automatically by the system.

 

Afterpay won't refund me or stop charging me until Sephora lets them know the order was not and will not be shipped.

 

What do I do?

 

Can anyone help me out with this? I don't want to be charged for something I'm not receiving.

Hi Team, I am having the same AfterPay refund issue. This policy makes no sense and I understand Sephoras return policy and Afterpays loan policies. I purchased an item for over $100 and I returned it at Sephora the next day. They refunded my credit card and not Afterpay. Now I am being forced to continue to pay Afterpay for an item I no longer have in my posession. I have no item and I am out of $100+. How is this legal? There should be clear terms noted at Sephora when using Afterpay or no longer accept it as a form of payment. $100 is lots of money to throw away. I tried to contact Sephora and Afterpay and not one person is able to help me get my money back.

I am still being charged for payments, but the merchant refunded me directly to my card – Afterpay
