Achieving VIB status

Hi I know you’re required to spend a certain amount of money to reach VIB or Rouge status so this is my question:

Do you have to spend the required amount within the same year? In 2022 I had spend like $280 & needed about $70 for VIB. I recently spent $80+ and thought I would be a VIB but my account is still at Insider.

Your status is based on your year-to-date spend within one calendar year. So, to unlock VIB status, $350 must be spent between Jan 1st - December 31st of the same year and to unlock Rouge status, $1000 must be spent between Jan 1st - December 31st of the same year. Your year-to-date spend will reset to $0 every January 1st.

Spending $280 in 2022 then $70 in 2023 would not unlock VIB status because your year-to-date spend reset to $0 in January 1st and the amounts would need to be spent within the same calendar year.
