Was your profile already filled out? If so, you have to re-select your choices and save to get points (the info at the bottom of the page, denoted by the asterisk). To be safe, I changed mine—IQ doesn't count, just pic (20), hair, skin, and eyes (10 each)—and saved, then changed them back and saved again.
