$50 No Balance Gift Card

I received a $50 gift card last week & my mom asked if I used it because another family member said their balance was $0. I checked mine & $0. I hadn't scratched off the card# or pin until today... When I called Sephora they said it was used for 2 transactions today!! I'm wondering if there's any way of deterring this as it looks like a major issue.  I'm recommending no one but gift cards

Unused, unscratched Sephora gift cards with $0 balance, fraudulently used online!

Sephora is doing nothing to help us. Let’s report them to the FTC and to the BBB … we don’t deserve to be cheated!
I am all in for a class action lawsuit. 
And let’s take this to Twitter. We’ll make them take responsibility.
