$100 Rouge Reward Missing

I was able to get a $100 reward last week. The next day I tried to use it, when I was ready to enter my card payment and apply the $100 points. It gave me an error message, it said something like “exceed the number of attempts” (i forgot the exact words). 

Now I don’t have the $100 nor the 2500 points. I tried messaging customer service but I was told I will receive an email letting me know. That I didn’t loose my $100. I haven’t received any message and the points are still missing. 

 

I didn’t know this can happen?!?! Has any one had this issue before?

Was your issue ever solved? I also have the option to exchange 2500 points for $100 but i’m scared I will get scammed out of my points
