Searching For Products

Hi All! I am on the hunt for hair products that are better for my hair (I straddle the line between 2B and 3A, though I think the 2B side is partially a result from damaging products). I have only ever used Devacurl before and am looking for alternatives that have proven healthy ingredients and are hopefully cheaper than Devacurl ever was. Lately DC products have been causing irritation and dryness for me, so I think it’s time to break up and move on to other pastures. Any recommendations ?

RE: Searching For Products

Never really cared for DC bc of the price for one. Products I feel that are $25 and up I don’t even bother. It’s not worth it. A good leave in w black Jamaican castor oil is a start. We use Shea moisture. Makua honey/mafura oil for defining curls. And curl cream w black Jamaican castor oil for hold we use As I am brand. My littlest has 3c hair and for her I use the leave in, kinky curly styling gel and Aussie sprunch spray for hold. Curlsmith, DC, pattern those brands are overpriced and under performing.

Re: Searching For Products

@accidentaleigh  my hair type is about a 2c-3b and I've had alot of success using the Briogeo Curl Charisma line. The Briogeo Curl Charisma™ Rice Amino + Avocado Leave–In Defining Cream is one of my favorite styling products.

I also really love EARTH’S NECTAR - Honey Curls; typically I use my cream products first, and then use a gel to help shape and definition. These two work nicely together 🙂
