Product Recommendations for Damaged Curly Hair?

Help!!! So- I’ve been dying my hair for a few years now using L’Oréal for dark hair only red hair dye + developer (obviously bleaching it) and I’ve gotten to the point where I think I want to go back to my natural hair color. I’ve been wearing my hair curly for some time now and have been using Olaplex- I’ve noticed a significant change and it seems like my curls are slowly restoring- I have 3C hair. There is one extremely annoying part, though- on the very top of my hair where the dye usually is the brightest, it pretty much refuses to curl no matter what I do to it. I’m trying to decide if the best course of action would be to cut it and live with “bangs” for awhile or to try some new products and see if it does anything. I’d like a full extensive list of any products that’d be good for damaged curly hair that I can find at any store whether it be at Sephora or Ulta or the drugstore. I’ve also had some problems with frizz as well. Here’s the products I already use in my hair routine: Olaplex no 3, 4 and 5 Devacurl miracle curl plumper

Devacurl Melt Into Moisture is AMAZING! I have actually used both the mask and Olaplex No. 3 together when I didn’t have enough for my whole head.

Quidad curl recovery extreme repair mask works for me every time.

hi @Ezziebee106 !

i have a curly mix of 3A/3B hair, the ends of which had been bleached years ago when my hair was much shorter. i know your struggle ! i'm glad to see your using olaplex3, as that really helps me too. i also really really love the DEVACURL - Melt into Moisture Matcha Butter Conditioning Maskwhich i use as my conditioner, as a proper mask, and sometimes even a little bit as a leave-in, depending on my hair's needs. i'm all about leaving devacurl products in as leave-ins and do it with their one condition, as well (which a deva rep recommended to me on this forum, in fact, years ago!).

when my hair is dry, i swear by products by REVERIE. i use both their milk and oil, and i find these a beautiful products to keep conditioning my hair in between washes. great for frizzy flyaways too. a bit pricey, but they last me AGES, so i find it good value for money. both are silicone free, which is key for me.

@jemly Seconding using Deva One C as a leave-in and styler. A Devachan colorist suggested the same to me. She said she used it on her 3B curls. It's been my 2nd, 3rd-day curl reviver for years! ..... @Ezziebee106 For damaged hair my only suggestion is Olaplex 3. Some masks are about moisture; some about protein; Olaplex 3 is about fixing the bonds within your hair. HTH!

No worries.I use organic coconut oil once a week, usually on a sunday.Put in on dry hair. After a few hours wash as usual.Once my hair is nice and clean i don't use conditioner, instead i use MOROCCAN GOLD SERIES TREATMENT MASK leave it in for 5 minutes and rinse☺
