Wavy hair

I have wavy hair and a few curls underneath. I don’t use any product in my hair bc I don’t know what to use. I also don’t really know what shampoo and conditioner to use bc what I am using now I don’t think is right. Anything that I have tried ways down my hair and makes it look greasy. My scalp is also always itchy. If you have any advice or product suggestions pls help!!!

Have you tried any Curlsmith products? Their Curlsmith Hydro Style Flexi Hair Jelly 16 oz / 473 mL  is great for giving form to your curls/waves and it’s not crunchy like old school gels. They have a quiz on their site to help you narrow down what products are best for your hair type. I really hope you give them a shot!

So far, what’s worked for me is shampoos, conditioners and a weekly hair mask that are free of silicones and sulfate, that are moisturizing and that have protein. I also use a hydrating styling cream for curls/waves before the flexi jelly. Hope this helps!

Hello! I have long hair that is quite wavy, though a little unevenly so. A few years ago, I went to a stylist who specialized in a curly hair cut and routine. She advised very nourishing products and to avoid parabens, sulfates and silicones. Now, I do use some products with silicones, but I try to limit them. You could try the Devacurl products for wavy hair (not sold at Sephora, or Kérastase Curl Manifesto Shampoo & Conditioner Duo for Curly Hair or there is a Bumble and Bumble curl kit I have seen. You may also want to aim for something nourishing, like #Briogeo has some great shampoos and conditioners and a great mask Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair!™ Deep Conditioning Hair Mask  .

For air dry styling, I really like Bumble and bumble Surf Styling Air Dry Cream 5 oz/ 150 mL  . It helps tame frizz. 

As for your scalp, there are a few great scalp serums out now that may help. I recently received the OUAI Hydrating Scalp Serum for Healthy, Fuller Looking Hair 2 oz / 60 mL  as a free product to sample and found it very nourishing. I’m sure some others will chime in too, good luck! @Emma5877
