Hi! I am new to this group. I have always tried to hide a big curly hair but I want to do start wearing it natural! Do you guys have any tips and tricks! Thx

@IDK24 I started a whole new reply since the community thing doesn’t really let you do a reply thread lol. But i was saying if frizz is usually a problem you have when you blow dry, oil your scalp and ends of your hair either before or after. There’s also frizz control creams and mousses for curly hair as another option.

Depending on the blow dryer you have, you can either just get a universal diffuser attachment on its own or get one of those hair dryer diffusers that are only used for diffusing. The one i have came with the attachments already.

It would also be helpful to make sure the products you use before you blow dry (or air dry for that matter) aren’t weighing your hair down, that’s another thing that could be contributing to you not liking how it turns out as well.

@IDK24

- always detangle while your hair is wet and comb from the bottom up

- get a spray bottle for when you do your hair in the morning

- idk what curl type/pattern you have but diffusers are my best friend

- oil the ends of your hair as well! I feel like everybody only talks about oiling the scalp but the ends tend to get the most dry

- if you think a curl cream, custard, or butter is too thick and is weighing your hair down, spray some water in your hand with it to dilute it.
- denman/detangle brushes are sooo helpful and make detangling less painful

- consider getting silk pillowcases to help lessen breakage and frizz

Re: Recommendations

Thank you so much but should I blow dry my hair because when I do it does not end up how I want it

Re: Recommendations

Thats what the diffuser attachment is for! Its shaped like a bowl so that it cups your hair and evenly distributes air which gives your curls more definition. If frizz is what you’re worried about, apply oil to your scalp and hair before or after drying.
