I was wondering how i can grow my hair out. I have damaged ends but I want my hair to grow out longer before I cut them. (my hair gets really short when i cut it)

@lenaaaaaN Try to protect your ends as much as you can. Avoid styling with heat and tight updos as much as possible. You can use softer products like Slip Slipsilk™ Skinny Scrunchies - 4 pack. I also use Olaplex No. 6 Bond Smoother Frizz Control Styling Hair Cream 3.3 oz/ 100 mL on my ends, roughly once a week. There are masks you can use to help your hair maintain moisture but you can make your own at home with oils and other ingredients. During the first year of the pandemic, I grew my hair down to my sacrum before I broke down and cut it myself.

@lenaaaaaN I suggest trying out a silk or satin pillow case. I try to be mindful about putting my hair in tight ponytails to avoid breakage. I like using hair masks and reducing heat as much as possible. I have been growing out my hair for years. Patience and extra care helps.

@lenaaaaaN I would recommend finding some vitamins and supplements (check with your doctor if you're unsure) that aid with hair growth. Unfortunately there's truly no magic shampoo or conditioner that you can use; they may decrease the amount of breakage that your hair might experience but they really don't have any effect on the growth of your hair.
