How do u know what hair type you have like:36,34,etc.

I hope this helps @Naenae61605.  For what it's worth, Naenae, if curl types aren't what you're looking for, could it be that your hairdresser is referring to a haircolor chart number?  For example, my hair is 7N on the Paul Mitchell hair color chart.

If you search in google "curly hair types" and go to images there should be some charts and pictures that come up!

There are different hair types such as 1a,2b,etc. the scale starts at 1a with pin straight hair, goes through 1c, and onto 2a-2c, which is wavy hair. Curls start at 3a. Looser curls are classified as 3a, tighter curls 3b, and really tight curls at 3c. 4a hair is where is starts getting kinky. 4a is kinky, 4b is kinkier, and lastly 4c is the kinkiest hair can be. Hopefully this helped!

Interesting. I've never heard hair described this way and i'm a hairstylist. lol
