I have 3b curls, but they tend to go flat or dead. I'm looking for a more long-term solution to keep them looking healthy.

Hi @TheMandyshifter  First thought that comes to mind is weight of products being used.  Also, regular trims help with lifeless looking curls, not a total haircut, be clear with your stylist on that.  I have had some crazy experiences in the past, lol.  Ok, so here are a few options to bring life and bounce back to your 3B curls.
