how to prevent weird flashback from setting powder

I've used both the Laura mercier and make up forever translucent setting powder and everytime I'm in flash photography you can see the powder. I thought Laura mercier powder wouldn't do this because it's not silicone based but I still have that problem ? Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or I should try a different setting powder ?

Are you using a makeup setting spray over the powder?
