deep olive skin help?

Hi there, 

I really struggle with finding an accurate shade match for my skin. Whenever I go in store to get the IQ thing/shade matched, its always different (and often wrong).

From what I understand, I have a medium-deep, golden/warm/neutral olive tone. 

I would appreciate any shade recommendations for foundations, concealers, and powders.

Any brand is fine, but I would prefer clean products/ products suitable for sensitive skin.

I know this is an old post but I’m medium deep olive too. On the olive spectrum I’m neutral warm and not very saturated. The only foundation I’ve tried that’s a perfect match is Lisa Eldridge foundation in shade 23. Other foundation I can get close but it’s not a perfect match or I have to add blue pigment to it because it’s too warm.

Have you tried findination?  You can enter the Lisa Eldridge and see what correlates with other brands.

Brands with olive: Armani, Dior, Range Beauty, Ami Colé, Lys Beauty, About Face, Pat McGrath Labs, Fenty, Gucci (although this runs really yellow IMO, but they note olive shades) and technically Haus Labs (runs very cool/pink IMO)

Monica Ravichandran is a medium neutral olive, and a great follow for olive resources.

🤠 Hi!! I'm an olive undertone as well (light-medium) and usually when picking foundations for olive undertones pick a neutral shade, it actually matches the closest if the foundation line doesn't carry one for olive undertones.

Some foundations I like for olive undertones:

DIOR Backstage Face & Body Foundation  which has undertones for neutral, warm olive, cool, and warm.

Laura Mercier foundations also run more neutral

Smashbox Halo Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 25 with Hyaluronic Acid   and just smashbox in general do have olive shades but they run as a warm olive, so you might find success there

Hause labs and Fenty beauty also have a very inclusive undertone like

And kosas beauty which caters really well to olive undertones only issue is its range is 😑

Of the above listed, Haus labs, and kosas are great for sensitive skin.

Also I really recommend watching Alexandra Anele on YouTube because she has olive undertones and teaches a lot of tips and tricks about shade matching for olive undertones 

My overall recommendation would be to figure out your shade using the Dior backstage foundation because their range is great and uniform, and then once you know your match, use it as the basis for determining what to pick from other brands
