Please help need Makeup advice

Spoiler
Please Help

Hello, I am hoping to get advice. I suffer from Having Xanthelasma under my eyes. I am looking into surgery but until then I am really trying to find makeup to help me hide these. Any suggestions?

This is so embarrassing. It affects me makes me so self conscious. There must be something to help hide these. I hardly wear makeup so I dont know much.

@Anonymous  there are a few things you could try that might help.

The Xanthelasma seems to have a slight yellowish cast to it (please correct me if that's just the photo and not how it looks IRL) but it might help to colour correct that with something slightly purplish (which will counteract the yellow) with a product like stila Correct & Perfect All-In-One Color Correcting Palette 0.45 oz./12.9 g  or the MAKE UP FOR EVER Color Correcting Step 1 Primers Yellowness Neutralizer (purple)  is another good one. When correcting anything you want to do light layers of product rather than one heavy coat and since it's on the under eye it's best to be gentle with a light, tapping or patting motion.

Since the area is raised I don't think it's possible to make it completely disappear but a plumping eye cream might also help to offset the difference between the deposits and the skin by making the skin around them a little less noticeable.

Also, don't get too discouraged; we are often our own harshest critics and while it might seem like all anybody can see to you, most people probably don't even notice that the xanthelasma is there. But if camouflaging it makes you feel better and more confident, more power to you!

Here is a quick video I found on Youtube that might help if you're not familiar with colour correction and another that talks about covering xanthelasma:

Hope that helps!
